Mercedes has added a new member to its AMG family and this one is the smallest of them, the Mercedes-AMG A35 4MATIC. Based on the standard A-class, this performance hatchback gets AMG treatment in the looks and more importantly, under the hood.
On the outside, the A35 gets a unique grille, flics and a front splitter. It also gets a new diffuser, blacked outside mirrors and 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels. At the rear, A35Â gets a large black spoiler and a sportier bumper with dual-exhausts.
The sportiness continues inside the cabin too with an all-black interior with red contrast stitching. It also gets a sporty flat-bottom steering. The infotainment system and instrument cluster get AMG specific settings and features in them.
Under the bonnet, the A35 packs a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 301 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The motor comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with a performance-oriented all-wheel drive system. Combination of all these helps the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds before topping out at 250 km/h.
The Mercedes-AMG A35 4MATIC will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show on October 2nd and sales will begin later that month.
