Tata Motors has officially announced the date of the launch of its new premium SUV Harrier. The new Tata Harrier will be launched officially on January 23rd, 2019.
The Tata Harrier is one of the important launched for the Tata Motors in the recent times. Harrier is the first vehicle to sport the IMPACT Design 2.0 philosophy. It’s a five seater SUV and looks like a big brother of the Nexon. It carries the similar cool front face with more muscle on the bumpers. From the rear three-quarter, you can see a little glimpse of the Land Rover Discovery’s design.
Just recently, Tata Motors announced the first roll-out of the SUV from the production line which has been built in a record time of 6 months with the manufacturing practices adopted from Jaguar Land Rover. The assembly line has over 100 KUKA and ABB robots to provide 90% automation.
Tata Harrier packs a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel that makes 138 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes with an e-VGT (Electric Variable Geometry Turbocharger), advanced EGR and After Treatment System. At the time of launch, Harrier will be offered only with a 6-speed manual gearbox, available in four variants – XE, XM, XT, and XZ.
Before the launch, Tata Motors is organizing ‘Discover The Harrier’ campaign is various cities of the country to preview the car to the potential customers and pre-booked costumers.
