After playing a long teaser game, Audi has finally unveiled its first all-electric concept sedan e-tron GT at the ongoing 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. After seeing the electric super-sedan, we can tell you that the long wait was totally worth it.

The dimensions of the e-tron GT measures the same as the Audi A7 Sportback but has a more dynamic and modern design. The front fascia of the car is so aggressive and sporty hosting a big hexagonal grille at the middle and Matrix LED headlights with lightning bolt-like graphics on the edges. There are large intakes in here too, to provide proper cooling to the battery pack.

The rear of the e-tron GT is equally sporty with the full-width taillight and muscular bumper. The side profile of the EV carries a coupe-like roofline similar to the A7 Sportback. The GT rides on big and sporty 22-inch alloy wheels. There are no door handles in the concept but it is likely that they will there in the production version. Overall, the e-tron GT is arguably the most stunning four-door Audi car yet.

The Audi e-tron GT is developed together by Audi Sport and the cousin brand Porsche so the GT shares a lot with the Porsche Taycan, including the battery pack. The Audi e-tron GT packs a total of 582 HP of power output.  Audi is claiming that the e-tron GT will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around 3.5 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h in just over 12 seconds. While the top speed will be limited to 240 km/h.

Thought the exact numbers are not yet revealed, the battery pack in the e-tron GT is expected to provide a total range of about 400km in a single charge. Using an 800-volt system, the battery can be charged to 80% in just about 20 minutes, translating it into about 320km of range.

Inside the cabin, the Audi e-tron GT has lots of touchscreens and touch surfaces, focused on the driver only. There is also an Alcantara steering wheel which looks pretty sporty. The GT will come with a lot of wireless connectivity options and also with the Level 3 autonomous functionality.

Audi is planning to put the e-tron GT in production as soon as in 2020 with the deliveries beginning in 2021. This will be Audi’s second fully-electric production car following recently launched e-tron SUV.
