OYO has appointed Andrew Verbitsky as the head of its European operations, while Sam Shih has been appointed the chief operating officer for China. Jeremy Sanders, on the other hand, has been made the United Kingdom head and Tan Ming Luk is now the Country head for Malaysia.

Sanders will be given the responsibility of establishing the hotel chain in the United Kingdom. Tan Ming Luk was formerly the Malaysia head of Ofo, the Chinese dockless bike-sharing platform and now, he is going to lead strategy development for Ola in the region.

Apart from these, in China, Wilson Li had been recently appointed by OYO as the Chief Financial Officer, while Jia Zhou had been appointed as the CTO and Tong Liang as the Chief HR.

The news of OYO’s recent appointments came two months after the appointment of Aditya Ghosh as the Chief Executive Officer. Formerly, Aditya Ghosh was the president of IndiGo. As the Chief Executive Officer of OYO, he now heads its operations in South Asia and India.

The Indian budget hospitality chain has ventured into a number of overseas markets from the last few years. It has also received funding from investors for this purpose. Last month, i.e., in December 2018, the company raised $100 Million from Singapore-based Ride-hailing company Grab.
