Since 2020 Xpeng has been shipping cars from China to Norway. Last year there was no expansion. Xpeng said in a statement it will open a store in Stockholm this week and will also partner with local auto dealer Bilia. It has also reached an agreement with the Dutch unit of Swiss vehicle distributor Emil Frey which will develop its sales and service network in the Netherlands and manage its stores there.

Xpeng intends to open a store in the Netherlands next month, it added. Led by former Alibaba executive He Xiaopeng, China’s seventh-biggest EV maker is developing smart-car technologies including a smart cabin and autonomous driving.

In the Netherlands, XPeng has signed a collaboration agreement with Emil Frey Nederland NV, which will help develop the automaker’s sales and service network, while managing XPeng branded stores throughout the country. Furthermore, the agreement marks the first Agency Retail collaboration for XPeng in Europe. As one of the largest automotive retail organizations in the EU, Emil Frey will supply a service and distribution network to XPeng’s EVs. Also, deliver at consistent pricing both online and at retail locations – the first of which will open next month at the Westfield Mall near The Hague. XPeng Motors chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng spoke to the company’s expansion in Europe, “Our global journey starts from Europe, propelled by our commitment to the smart EV penetration. We strongly support the EV development strategy in Europe and are forging partnerships with top-tier local players to accelerate energy conservation, emission reduction and electrification in Europe. This approach will optimize our strength in digitalization, fast iteration of product features, quality control, operational efficiency while at the same time best leveraging our partners’ deep local knowledge, well-established networks and customer know-how.”

Furthermore, it is known that Xpeng plans to expand further into Denmark. The Chinese automaker is going to open its first Experience Store in Stockholm. It is a self-operated retail location. In its international market more such Experience Stores are going to be set up in various locations. According to their recent tweet it is evident that the company is focused on expansion.
