Daalchini Technologies, which is a Delhi based food technology startup, has now secured INR 3.50 crore in the funding round of seed, led by early-stage venture capital firm Artha venture Fund.
Daalchini Technologies will now be going to use the funds to expand the product range, strengthen brand identity, improve logistics and recruit a strong management team, according to the report which has been revealed.
Daalchini is a digital vending machine company that provides the affordable, healthy, home cooked meals to corporate employees at the click of a button, and thus filing the gap between the demand and supply unaddressed by food delivery apps and tiffin services.
Their product can be easily ordered with the help of a mobile app on the digital screen on the vending machine.
Daalchini was launched in the year 2017 by the Prerna Kalra and Vidya Bhushan. While Kalra is an IMT Ghaziabad alumni and the former head of the Paytm, Bhushan is an Alumni of IIT Kharagpur.
Daalchini is also planning to expand to 1600 operational kiosks by the end of 2021, and are also working on technology advancements like the multi-payment and multi-order options.
“A lot of our partners don’t only cook for money but have a story to tell,” Kalra said. “We at Daalchini equip them with ‘Reach, Revenue and Recognition’. For corporate employees, we are solving the 40 minutes at Rs 40 problem by providing instantly available healthy quick bites.”
