The third day of CES 2025 brought an impressive mix of futuristic technology, setting the stage for what the tech world could look like in the years ahead. Known for its role as a platform where concepts evolve into practical devices, CES continued to surprise and inspire. The innovations unveiled today spanned a broad spectrum, from truly wireless televisions to ultra-portable gaming accessories, compact chargers, and intelligent e-bikes. Each device exemplified a commitment to convenience and functionality, with some carrying hefty price tags that reflected their cutting-edge nature.

This year, the emphasis wasn’t just on advanced capabilities but also on usability. As technology grows more sophisticated, the need for practical and user-friendly designs has become paramount. Whether it’s a television that sticks to your wall with vacuum suction or a backup power system designed to ensure your fridge keeps running during an outage, the focus on blending innovation with utility was evident throughout the day.

However, one must acknowledge the premium nature of such pioneering devices. While their prices might stretch the average consumer’s budget, their promise of convenience and efficiency justifies the cost for many. CES 2025 Day 3 underscored this trend, offering a glimpse into gadgets that could soon define modern living.

A Wireless TV That Redefines Mobility

One of the standout devices of the day was Displace TV, a product that has been evolving since it was first introduced a couple of years ago. In 2025, Displace is finally ready to ship its much-anticipated wireless televisions to its early backers. Available in two variants, the Basic and Pro models, Displace TV aims to revolutionize how we think about home entertainment.

The Displace Pro is a marvel of engineering, equipped with vacuum suction technology that allows it to adhere to nearly any surface—be it glass, drywall, or other materials. For those who prefer not to mount it, hidden legs can pop out, enabling the TV to stand independently. As a smart TV, it features built-in Wi-Fi and covered ports like HDMI, ensuring compatibility with external devices such as gaming consoles.

A notable feature of the Pro model is its dual internal batteries, which last approximately two days. Buyers can also opt for an additional soundbar that doubles as a battery extender, stretching usage to nearly 25 days. The Displace Basic, while sharing many features, lacks the vacuum suction system and has reduced battery life. Though less advanced, the Basic model remains an attractive option for those prioritizing simplicity over cutting-edge features.

Snapdragon’s Leap from Phones to Cars

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon, renowned for powering smartphones and computers, is making significant strides in the automotive sector. The Snapdragon Digital Chassis was a highlight at CES, demonstrating how artificial intelligence can enhance the driving experience. Qualcomm showcased its technology through live demonstrations, allowing attendees to interact with the system directly.

The Digital Chassis integrates AI capabilities designed to assist drivers in various scenarios. For instance, it can answer questions about car functions, such as adjusting seatbelts or setting up mirrors, using knowledge from the car’s owner’s manual. More impressively, the system can capture images of objects ahead and provide detailed information about them upon request.

Safety is another crucial feature of this system. With built-in sensors, the AI can detect when a driver is losing focus and recommend pulling over if necessary. Additionally, the Digital Chassis includes voice-command capabilities for convenient tasks like ordering takeout while driving. Qualcomm’s innovations suggest a future where cars are more than just vehicles—they’re intelligent companions on the road.

Gaming On the Move: The OhSnap Mcon Controller

Portable gaming enthusiasts were treated to an exciting reveal with the Mcon controller from OhSnap. Known for its innovative MagSafe accessories, OhSnap has taken its expertise to the gaming world with this Bluetooth-enabled joystick. Designed to attach seamlessly to the back of a MagSafe-enabled phone, the Mcon transforms your device into a mini gaming rig.

The controller features hall-effect joysticks and other gaming buttons that pop out with the press of a button. This clever design combines convenience with functionality, making it perfect for gaming on the go. While the Mcon is still undergoing refinement, it promises to be a game-changer for mobile gaming enthusiasts. OhSnap plans to launch the device later this year, with Kickstarter backers enjoying an early-bird discount.

A Charger That Packs a Punch

Cuktech’s tiny yet powerful charger was another showstopper. Measuring just 3 x 1.5 x 0.5 inches, this compact device is capable of delivering an impressive 65W output. Its foldable plug and dual USB-C ports make it a practical choice for travelers and professionals who need reliable charging solutions without adding bulk to their bags.

The simplicity of the design belies its capabilities, proving that innovation doesn’t always have to come in a flashy package. Whether it’s tucked into a backpack or slipped into a pocket, this charger exemplifies how technology can deliver power and portability in equal measure.

Affordable Backup Power for Everyday Needs

In an era where power outages are increasingly common, Biolite’s Backup system offers a practical solution for essential appliances. Unlike expensive whole-home systems like Tesla’s Powerwall, the Backup by Biolite is a modular and expandable battery system designed for specific use cases.

The system is easy to install, requiring no professional assistance. Its slim design allows it to fit behind appliances like refrigerators, making it both unobtrusive and functional. Each unit provides enough power to keep a refrigerator running for up to 60 hours. With a starting price of $3,000, the system becomes even more appealing when factoring in government rebates that can reduce the cost to $2,100.

Other Highlights of Day 3

Day 3 of CES also featured several other innovative products that caught the eye:

  1. Tap by Tewke: This AI-enabled touchscreen light switch uses a combination of sensors and AI to automate energy savings and enhance home automation.
  2. WeWALK AI-Powered Smart Cane: Designed for visually impaired individuals, this cane offers obstacle detection, accessible navigation, and information about nearby locations.
  3. MetaPanda AI by Elephant Robotics: A hyper-realistic robotic panda that uses advanced AI to interact with users through emotional recognition and simulated animal behaviors.
  4. Jethro V1 AI Mouse: This innovative computer mouse offers speech-to-text functionality, voice translation, and offline AI computation for enhanced privacy and efficiency.
