06 September 2018, India:

Cisco-backed Software as a Solution (SaaS) startup CloudCherry has raised $9 million in second round of Series A funding. The funding round was led by US-based early-stage venture capital firm Pelion Venture Partners. Existing investors Cisco Investments, Vertex Ventures, and IDG Ventures India also participated in the funding round.

As a part of deal, Donald Tucker, who leads Cisco’s investment efforts related to collaboration products, and Brett Wingo, senior vice president of customer experience platforms at Cisco, will join the board of CloudCherry.

The startup will use the fresh capital to grow its North American Sales and Marketing teams. The startup will also use the funds to grow its data science capabilities.

Vinod Muthukrishnan, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, CloudCherry, said, “In less than two years, we have taken market share from older, established players, drawn attention and coverage from the leading analyst firms and have established partnerships with industry behemoths including Microsoft and Nielsen.”

CloudCherry was founded by Vinod Muthukrishnan, Sriram Subramanian, Vijay R Lakshmanan, Prem K Viswanath and Nagendra CL in 2014. It is the next generation Experience Management platform that is disrupting the way organizations listen to the Voice of Customer.
