When Jeff Bezos backed Elon Musk’s plan to turn Twitter’s headquarters in San Francisco into a homeless shelter, Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma pointed out a feat that he considers exceptional.
“Jeff joins Elon on Twitter. Which platform in the world can ever pull this off?” Sharma discussed the billionaires who are also rivals in the contest to be the world’s richest as well as the Blue Origin vs SpaceX competition on Twitter.

Musk, the 50-year-old SpaceX and Tesla CEO, has been pitching various proposals for drastic changes to Twitter since his appointment to the company’s board of directors was revealed. However, he withdrew on the day of the formal appointment, as Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal confirmed today.
Musk had posted a poll in Twitter’s San Francisco office. “Convert Twitter SF HQ to the homeless shelter since no one shows up anyway,” he tweeted, implying that he was referring to Twitter’s Work From Home policy, and added, “I’m serious about this one.” This was just a day before he left the Twitter board.
“Or do portion,” said Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos in response to Musk’s proposal. Worked out great and makes it easy for employees who want to volunteer.” He provided a link to an article on Amazon’s 8-story homeless shelter, which is located next to the company’s Seattle headquarters. “Wonderful concept,” Musk replied.

Bezos, 58, was once the wealthiest man on the planet until having to give up a portion of his fortune to his ex-wife Mackenzie Scott during divorce proceedings. Last year, Elon Musk dethroned Warren Buffett as the world’s richest man. When it comes to space, Bezos and Musk are rivals, with their firms Blue Origin and SpaceX fighting for important NASA contracts to expand into space exploration.
This isn’t the first time the world’s two wealthiest men have exchanged tweets. Bezos tweeted an article predicting Amazon’s downfall a few months ago, to which Musk responded with a silver medal emoji in a tweet.
