Rebel Foods, a Pune based cloud kitchen startup of the Faasos brand has raised $125 Million in the funding round from the Goldman Sachs, Go-Jek, Coatue Management, and some others.
According to the report, the company valuation after the investment will be $525 Million. The company even claims to expand its presence into the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
While in the month of March 2019, the platform even bagged INR 110 crore as a part of its Series D funding round from the VC firm Lightbox Ventures, Evolvence Indian Fund, and Sequoia Capital.
The company was founded by the Kallol Banerjee and Jaydeep barman in the year 2010. It started out as a quick-service restaurant and is now a multi-brand cloud kitchen model that has established brands like Oven Story, Faasos, Mandarin Oak, Behrouz, Kettle & Eggs and Firangi Bake under the Rebel Foods.
The company has launched around 1500 internet restaurants in India across 11 brands.
