The publisher claimed to have banned over 6,000 accounts for cheating and hacking during a five-day period in mid-February after receiving “a spike in cheating reports within the community.”
Activision stated that it is testing more security patches and has deactivated game codes for temporary benefits like super speed in order to address recent problems.
Over the weekend, one telemetry system was taken offline for upgrades as part of regular security updates, the statement stated. Cheat developers claimed that RICOCHET Anti-Cheat went offline as a result of this move. It wasn’t. Through intentional reactivation of this updated system and monitoring activity over the weekend, #TeamRICOCHET was able to discover and ban over 6000 accounts for hacking and cheating between February 16 and February 20.
“Our team is still working on security updates for problems in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare III across multiple modes.”
Early in February saw the release of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 2
The Walking Dead crossover, a new War map, another Zombies story mission, the return of the Resurgence map Fortune’s Keep in Warzone, and three entirely new 6v6 multiplayer maps were all included.
Despite these precautions, many resourceful players are still able to uncover unique advantages over their rivals, making cheating and hacking in Call of Duty: Warzone a severe issue. The 6,000 gamers could not even be the end of it, as new exploits tend to emerge and circumvent the security measures for each one that the system is able to stop. These events might be a regrettable illustration of how the existing RICOCHET system might not be sufficient to stop cheaters who are persistent.
Team Ricochet also addressed the recent claims that their anti-cheat technology was unavailable. They stated that the anti-cheat system was online the entire time and that only one piece of telemetry was turned off in order to improve it. To keep the gaming environment safe and competitive for all players, they are always keeping an eye out for and monitoring player activities.
About the game
At launch, Call of Duty MW3’s multiplayer was already far better than its predecessor, but Season 1 packs in an incredible amount of new content for fans to enjoy. Here is all the information you require regarding Season 1 of Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer, including new maps, modes, weapons, and more.
With improvements to the Perk system, additional health, and mini-map features, in addition to new and updated maps, Gunsmith updates, and new weapons, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer expands upon the framework of its predecessor. At launch, there are 20 maps, 13 game modes, 25 operators, 37 weapons (including 77 that are returning), and more will be introduced in future season updates.
Even though Modern Warfare 3 is unquestionably building on the strengths of its predecessor, the gameplay is significantly improved and more in line with what fans have come to expect thanks to a few minor but deliberate tweaks. In comparison to previous Call of Duty games, which attempted to slow everything down with lengthy animations and a lightning-fast time-to-kill that rewarded a slower playstyle, Call of Duty: Massacre 3’s multiplayer is often significantly faster.
