GamingMonk secured $10000 from Tokyo based media company

GaminkMonk, which is a gaming and esports platform has now secured $10000 as a strategic investment from the GameWith, which is a Tokyo based gaming media company.

The startup is going to use the funds for product development, brand marketing, and team building. GamingMonk has grown its user base by 500% in the past six months.

GamingMonk is one of the largest community focused esports in India, which is setting its stronghold in the media content, esports, and community. The company aim is to build an ecosystem for the gamers through the prize tournaments, gaming content and many other engagement solutions. The company was founded by the Abhay Sharma and Ashwin in the year 2014.

Takuya Imaizumi, CEO of GameWith, Inc., said, “The gaming industry in India has strong growth potential and GamingMonk, led by a strong management team, is well-positioned to further benefit from industry trends. We are excited about the company’s growth prospects and proud to have this opportunity to support the journey.”

Nao Murakami, General Partner, Incubate Fund India, adds, “We believe there is a big synergy between GameWith and GamingMonk. As GameWith is the No.1 gamers’ media and gamers’ community in Japan, GamingMonk would get a lot of valuable advice, support, and collaboration opportunities. We are really excited that GamingMonk’s growth would be accelerated by this investment.”

In the month of October last year, the startup had also secured seed funding from the Incubate fund, Smile Group, AdvantEdge, Samir Khurana and others.
