OxfordCaps which is a student accommodation startup has now secured $8 Million in the funding round of Series A led by the Times Internet, according to the report which has been revealed.
Some other existing investors which participated include the Silicon Valley-based early stage venture fund 500 startups and Kalaari capital.
The startup will use the capital to expand in more than ten cities and to standardize its products with design thinking and technology.
The startup is also going to invest in technology, focusing more on IoT and deep learning to provide with the customized experience for the students.
OxfordCaps offers the custom designed and standardized accommodation to students in India and Singapore with the full stack amenities and services. With the startup online platform, students can search and book accommodation units by signing the agreements, making payments, connecting with their potential homeowners and placing the service requests.
The startups work in the three sub-brands to students across the different price segments – OxfordCaps Student Residences, OxfordCaps Premium Residences, and OxfordCaps Dorms for the budget segment accommodation.
Apart from just accommodation, OxfordCaps also runs a student’s community and provides various engagement opportunities such as entertainment, events, travel deals, career events.
