Google Nano Banana AI Image Creation: What is 3D Figurine and How to Create for FREE?
TwitterWhatsappLinkedin

Social media feeds across Instagram, TikTok, and X are buzzing with something unexpected: tiny, incredibly detailed figurines that look almost too perfect to be real. These aren’t expensive collectibles or handcrafted models – they’re AI-generated images created with Google’s latest tool, and everyone’s calling them “Nano Bananas.”

The playful nickname has stuck to describe these ultra-realistic 3D digital figurines made using Google’s AI tool, Gemini 2.5 Flash Image. Although it was just an experiment on creativity, it has exploded into an internet viral craze and individuals from nooks and corners of life, including even politicians like Assam’s Chief Minister, are embracing the trend to make small versions of themselves.

Why are Nano bananas any different?

The Nano Bananas magic is in their unprecedented accessibility. You won’t require any technical expertise, high-end software, or even cash to produce such great-looking collectible figures. Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash Image does the lion’s work, converting plain photographs and text prompts into professional-grade collectible figure images with realistic faces, elaborate clothing, and even mock packaging.

This system is amazingly adaptable, too. You can upload a photo of you, your dog, or whoever you’d like, input a descriptive phrase, and the system produces a professional-quality figurine that looks as though it came from a high-end photo shoot for toys.

Want a samurai version of your dog? A cartoon version of your celebrity crush? A wee version of you? You can have it made in a few clicks.

Why Did It Suddenly Become So Popular?

The Nano Banana craze embodies exactly why internet crazes go viral: it’s easy, instantly dazzling, and easily shared. We are fond of the thought that we can produce something that looks commercially made without any actual exertion or expense.

The finished products are so professional-looking and attention-grabbing they almost insist on being posted on social sites.

The trend also has the benefit of flexibility in creativity. No one is forced to use particular templates or designs – they are free to blend images with high-level text prompts to achieve nothing short of what they imagine.

That freedom has appealed to both casual and professional content creators, who are eager to try out the possibilities of the tool.

As soon as influencers and celebrities began to post images of their own Nano Banana concoctions, the trend literally exploded. A perfect storm of desirable visual output and widespread availability brought the viral material from relative obscurity to mainstream entertainment in a very short period of time.

How to Create Your Own Nano Banana

Getting started with your own Nano Banana is refreshingly simple. Here’s exactly how to do it:

Step 1: Open Google AI Studio

Head over to Google AI Studio, which you can access directly through the Gemini app or website. No special downloads or installations required.

Step 2: Choose Your Method

You have two options: photo plus prompt (recommended) or prompt only. The photo plus prompt method gives the best results, so upload a clear portrait or photo of your subject.

Step 3: Use Google’s Official Prompt

Google has provided a specific prompt that works best for creating Nano Bananas. Copy and paste this exact text: “Create a 1/7 scale commercialized figurine of the characters in the picture, in a realistic style, in a real environment.

The figurine is placed on a computer desk. The figurine has a round transparent acrylic base, with no text on the base. The content on the computer screen is a 3D modeling process of this figurine.

Next to the computer screen is a toy packaging box, designed in a style reminiscent of high-quality collectible figures, printed with original artwork. The packaging features two-dimensional flat illustrations.”

Step 4: Generate and Perfect Your Creation

Click the generate button and watch the magic happen, results typically appear within seconds. If something looks off with the pose, face, or clothing, simply adjust one element in your prompt or try a different photo until you get the perfect Nano Banana.

The Nano Banana Trend and Digital Creativity

The Nano Banana trend represents more than just another social media fad – it showcases how advanced AI tools are becoming increasingly accessible to everyday users. What once required professional 3D modeling skills and expensive software can now be accomplished by anyone with a smartphone and an internet connection.

This democratization of creative technology is opening up new possibilities for self-expression and digital art, proving that the most engaging online trends often emerge when powerful tools meet simple, fun concepts that anyone can participate in.
