Design changes speculated for the new Google Pixel 9 series
Google has been following a similar design since the launch of the Google Pixel 6 series, and right after two generations, we have the new Pixel 9 series, which will finally get a design change, about two years’ gap for a design change.
Talking about the design changes for the Google Pixel 9 series, we have leaks sharing that this smartphone will be sporting a sleeker design with a flat-sided design and curved edges. Talking more about the design side, the smartphone will also significantly change the camera bar.

The leaked renders show an oval-shaped camera island that replicates the Pixel Fold smartphone, which is yet to make its way to launch. Take a look at the rendered image down below:
Leaked Specification details for the Google Pixel 9 Series
That was about the design side of the upcoming new flagship smartphone; now, if we move to the specification side, the all-new Google Pixel 9 will be coming with a 6.5-inch display, whereas the bigger brother, the Pixel 9 Pro, will be settling with a more extensive 6.7-inch panel.
The display sizes remain the same as the previously released Google Pixel flagship smartphone. However, now there will be a booth on the smartphone’s pixel resolution where the Pixel 9 will be getting the Quad HD display upgrades.
In contrast, the Pixel 9 Pro may move to spit in more pixels within their display, and there might be a substantial increase in overall screen brightness, too.
Camera DetailsÂ
Moving to the camera side, the Pixel 9 series will now make a massive change with a rear camera sensor. This new sensor will be housed within the Pixel Fold oval-shaped housing and offer better quality.
Also, with the camera upgrade, there is a chance that the Pro model may finally get a dedicated periscope telephoto lens, which gives the phone a huge plus point to compete with the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which is already famous for its fantastic zooming capabilities.
Processor DetailsÂ
Besides the camera, the Pixel 9 series will be faster than its predecessor models. We have leaked a report from Geekbench sharing that the upcoming Pixel 9 will occupy a newly built Tensor G4 sensor, which is Google’s fourth new innovative chipset.
Geekbench listing shows the smartphone getting an overall score of 1082 points in single-core and 3121 points in a multi-core benchmark. However, these numbers are surprisingly lower than the Google Pixel 8, as it’s only a leaked rumor; we will have to wait for an official confirmation from Google.
