Can we add a debit card to the Cash App?

Yes, you can absolutely add a debit card to the Cash App and utilize it. Actually, that is how the app works, and it is needed most of the time. Linking your card bridges the gap between the traditional bank account and your digital “Cash” balance. Once you have your card linked, you can withdraw money instantly from your bank to pay a merchant, a friend, or a shop. It is an amazing thing that also works as a “Cash Out” Option. Most major U.S. debit cards work just fine when you try to add them to the Cash App. Just keep in mind that you are allowed to link a single card at one time and may not be able to exceed that limit.

Steps to add a debit card to the Cash App

If you want to link your debit card to the Cash App, then these are the steps that you can follow.

Open the App

Firstly, open the Cash App on your phone and look at the home screen.

Access Your Profile

There, you need to access your profile. For that, tap on the Profile Icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

Find Linked Banks

This will open up all the important information linked to your account. Here, scroll down until you see the Linked Banks option and tap on it.

Try to Link the New Card

You can now try to link the new card by tapping on the Link Debit Card. If you already have a card linked and want to change it, you’ll need to select the existing card and tap on “Remove” or “Replace” first, and then do the rest of the things later.

Enter Card Details

As the next thing, you need to carefully type in your 16-digit card number. After that, it will ask you for the expiration date, the 3-digit CVV code from the back, and your billing ZIP code as the final and important details that have just been entered.

Confirm and Finish

Tap on Link Card at the bottom. Now, after the information has been verified by the bank and the platform, the linked card will appear on your Cash App. But make sure you add the right card for the purpose, as Cash App only lets you link one debit card at a time.

Follow these steps, and you will be able to link your debit card to your Cash App for transfers and more.
