About Kalshi

Kalshi is almost like a stock market for the real world. Instead of buying shares in Apple or Tesla, you’re trading on the outcome of events! Here you have things like whether the Fed will hike rates, who’s winning the next election. But it doesn’t really have to be that big a thing. It can be something so trivial, like whether it’ll rain in NYC tomorrow. Everything is a “Yes” or “No” sort of contract. If you’re right, the contract pays out $1to you, and if not, it goes to $0. It’s federally regulated by the CFTC, so it’s legal in the U.S. and feels more like a professional exchange than one may think. It is actually a decent way to make some extra cash, no matter how small. If you think you have a knack for guessing things right, you can actually try to do it!

Steps to cash out on Kalshi

If you want to cash out on Kalshi, then these are the steps that you can follow.

Check Your Balance

This is the first and foremost thing that you need to take care of. You have to make sure your winnings have moved to your “Cash” balance. If a market just closed, it can take up to two business days for the funds to officially settle and become available for withdrawal.

Go to the Wallet

Now you must open the Kalshi app or website and tap on the Profile icon. You can usually find it in the top right. Here, look for the Transfers or Wallet tab.

Start the Withdrawal

Finally, select Withdraw from Kalshi. You’ll then be able to choose how you want to receive the money.

Choose Your Method

  • Bank Transfer – Most people find it to be the best idea. And this is best recommended for large amounts. It’s free but takes 3–5 business days to complete.
  • Debit Card- One can consider it the fastest way. It usually reaches your account in about 30 minutes, but there’s a $2.00 fee and a $2,500 daily limit.
  • Crypto- If you’ve deposited via crypto before, you can withdraw back to your wallet in about 30 minutes. This is also simple!

Confirm

Enter the amount, double-check where you want it to reach, and then click on submit.

There’s just one thing you need to remember: if you just deposited money, Kalshi has a security hold which is 3 days for debit, 7 days for bank transfers, before you can get that specific cash back out.
