If you’re playing The Forge on Roblox, changing your race — sometimes called “rerolling” your race — can dramatically reshape your character’s bonuses, play style, and overall potential. This guide walks you step-by-step through how to change your race, how rerolls work, and how to make smart choices that don’t leave you regretting a bad spin.

When you first start the game, your character is assigned a default race — usually Human. This race comes with little or no special bonus.
Beyond Human, the game features many other races — from common to mythical — each offering different stat boosts and perks. Rarer races tend to come with more powerful bonuses, such as better luck for rare drops, faster mining speed, increased sell price for ore, or improved combat bonuses.
Because of this, rerolling your race can be one of the most impactful decisions in early game — and sometimes even later.
Ways to Change (Reroll) Your Race
In The Forge, you have two main methods to reroll your race:
Method 1: Via the Wizard NPC
- Leave the spawn area or hub area, move toward the cave entrance (near where mining begins). Instead of going into the cave, take the left path.
- Along that path, you will pass some NPCs (like a merchant or explorer). Keep following until you reach a tall building — the “Wizard Tower.”
- Go inside (the door may be closed-looking, but you can still enter) and talk to the Wizard NPC. Choose the dialogue option like “I want to change my race.” This opens the reroll menu.
Method 2: Using the In-Game Shop / Race Menu
- Open your inventory (press T or click the bag/rucksack icon).
- Go to the “Shop” tab.
- Scroll until you find the “Rerolls” slab or section. From there, click the button to open the Race Menu and reroll.
Once you open the reroll menu by either method, you can spend a reroll “spin” and instantly receive a new race. The change is immediate — there’s no preview or guarantee of a better race.
How to Acquire Race Rerolls (Spins)
Rerolls aren’t unlimited. You need “Race Rerolls” (or spins) to change race. You can get them through:
- Free Starter Spins: When starting the game or via early tutorial/quest interactions, you often get a few free rerolls.
- Redeeming Codes: The developers sometimes release codes via social media or community channels; entering them in settings gives you extra spins.
- Quest Rewards or Game Events: Completing certain quests or participating in events can reward spins.
- Paid Spins (Robux / In-Game Shop): If you prefer, you can purchase extra spins using in-game currency or premium currency (Robux in Roblox).
Because spins are limited, it’s wise to use them carefully — especially if chasing rare or powerful races.
Races, Chances & What to Aim For
Races in The Forge come in varying rarities: common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary, and mythical. Your chance of getting a strong race is lower than getting a basic one.
Here’s a rough breakdown of common races and odds (may vary slightly over time):
- Common: high chance (e.g. Human)
- Uncommon / Rare: moderate chance
- Epic / Legendary / Mythical: low to very low chance
Top-tier races like Angel or Demon are extremely rare (often quoted as about 0.5% per reroll), but they give powerful boosts in stats or abilities.
Because of these odds, many players aim first for balanced “mid-tier” races (if available), then reserve rerolls for major attempts at high-tier races.
