If you’re playing Destiny 2 and have jumped into the latest expansion “Renegades,” you might be wondering how to unlock the shiny new exotic armor pieces. In Renegades, there are three class-specific exotic armors: for Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks — each offering unique perks and a fresh way to build your Guardian. In this guide, I’ll walk you through exactly how to get them: what you need, what steps to follow, and what to expect once you have them.

With the Renegades expansion, the game introduces three brand-new exotic armor items — one for each class:
- For Titans: Praxic Vestment — a chest piece that grants a jetpack-like aerial ability.
- For Warlocks: Deimosuffusion — a helmet that augments Strand supers and lets you suspend enemies, dealing damage over time while healing you.
- For Hunters: Fortune’s Favor — a leg-armor that grants overshields and increases weapon performance after kills or when recovering from combat.
These new exotic armors introduce class-defining abilities and change the way each class plays — whether you prefer aerial mobility, crowd control with Strand powers, or survivability plus boosted guns.
How to Unlock Them — Legendary Campaign Method
The most straightforward and reliable way to get any of the Renegades exotic armors is by completing the Renegades campaign on Legendary difficulty.
Here’s how it works:
- Start the Renegades campaign with the difficulty set to Legendary. There are six missions in total.
- At the end of the campaign, you receive an exotic armor piece automatically — the piece depends on the character class you used. So if you played as a Titan, you get Praxic Vestment; as a Warlock, you get Deimosuffusion; as a Hunter, you receive Fortune’s Favor.
- If you previously completed the campaign on standard or lower difficulty, you can replay it on Legendary. The game doesn’t restrict you just because you finished earlier: go back via the in-game map and opt for Legendary difficulty for the run.
This method is considered “guaranteed” — you don’t have to rely on randomness or luck. Just complete the campaign fully on Legendary, and the exotic drops.
Alternative Route: Keycards and Random Drops
If you prefer a bit of variety (or the campaign feels too heavy), there is another way — by obtaining exotic Keycards in the Renegades expansion. These normally drop from chests around the zone called the “Lawless Frontier.” When you get a Keycard, you follow its coordinates to a “Keycard room.” Inside, there are chests, one of which may grant a Renegades exotic (armor or sometimes other exotics).
Keep in mind, though:
- This method is random. You might open many chests without getting your class exotic.
- If your class already owns its exotic armor, the chest will give a random exotic instead.
So Keycards are more like a gamble rather than a guarantee — great if you enjoy looting and surprises.
What Each Armor Piece Does — A Quick Breakdown
Here’s a snapshot of what each exotic armor gives you, and why you might want it:
- Praxic Vestment (Titan): grants a jetpack — use Arc-powered melee or weapon kills to build jetpack fuel, then launch into the sky. Colliding with an enemy deals a blinding burst of energy and can grant melee energy. Perfect for mobility lovers or those who enjoy aerial combat.
- Deimosuffusion (Warlock): while using a Strand Super, casting Rift suspends nearby enemies. Suspended enemies take damage over time, and killing them heals you. Enemies who break free take extra damage. Great for control-based play and healing through combat.
- Fortune’s Favor (Hunter): once you get kills at full health (or after staying out of combat), you trigger an overshield which gives you boosted weapon damage, stability, handling, and accuracy. Overshields can make Hunters powerful in both solo and group PvE content.
Depending on your play style — mobility, crowd control, or gun-play with survivability — each exotic has a different appeal.
