About Staryu
Staryu is a classic Water-type Pokémon that was introduced in Generation I, and is primarily easily recognized as the “Star Shape Pokémon.” Its body is star-shaped and has a dewy golden-brown color, centered around a glowing red core. It is a beautiful Pokémon that is different and important at the same time. The most fascinating feature of Staryu is its regeneration ability, meaning that it can effortlessly grow back any appendage as long as its core remains intact. Yeah, it’s super cool! Where can we find Staryu?
The ocean is the place to look for this beautiful Pokémon. Since we find starfish in the oceans, that’s where you should look! In most Pokémon games, you have to do a bit of fishing, usually with a Good Rod or Super Rod, along various coastal routes or near islands. That’s a beautiful experience altogether that will boost your confidence after having this new Pokémon. In Pokémon Legends Z-A, it is usually found in specific Wild Zones, almost always in the water and often only at night. So, you may actually have to do some hunts at night. Since it’s a Water-type, you must also keep an eye on those sea routes and any body of water if you spot them on the map.
Steps to evolve Staryu
If you want to evolve your Pokémon Staryu, then these are the steps that you need to follow.
Find a Water Stone
This is the essential item for the process, and thus, you need to have it first by your side. You can usually find Water Stones in caves, hidden on some water routes, or you can even sometimes buy them at a local shop like the Stone Emporium in some recent games. Make sure you have it before you move towards evolution.
Get the Staryu from Your Bag
Open your bag or the inventory in the game and find the Water Stone item stored within. You have to go nowhere far!
Use the stone on Staryu
Select the Water Stone in your bag and then choose your Staryu to use it on. They both have to align to get Staryu evolved.
Have Your Starmie
Staryu will immediately begin to evolve into Starmie – the Water/Psychic dual-type.
However, you should remember that since Staryu doesn’t learn many moves after evolution, it’s generally best to evolve it once it knows all the moves that are there or you like.
