Locating Tongdang’s Hut
In Sukhothai, you’ll need to find a vendor named Tongdang, who sells the Rebreather. His hut is situated towards the center of the Sukhothai map. To reach it, you’ll have to navigate by boat through the region’s waterways. Once you arrive, interact with Tongdang to inquire about purchasing the Rebreather.
The Cost of the Rebreather
Tongdang offers the Rebreather for 798 baht, the local currency in Sukhothai. At this point in the game, it’s likely you won’t have enough funds to make the purchase. Therefore, you’ll need to find a way to accumulate the necessary amount.
Undertaking Voss’ Gold Stash Quest
After your initial conversation with Tongdang, a new quest called “Voss’ Gold Stash” will be activated. This quest is designed to help you gather the funds required for the Rebreather. Here’s how to complete it:
- Travel to Voss’ Camp: Navigate to the northeastern part of the Sukhothai map to locate Voss’ camp. This area is heavily guarded, so proceed with caution.
- Infiltrate the Camp: Approach the camp stealthily to avoid detection. One effective method is to use the opening with white paint, traveling under the wooden platform from the east near the second cat painting. Alternatively, you can find a Royal Army Disguise on a table outside the main building. Wearing this disguise will allow you to move past most guards unnoticed.
- Access the Main Building: With the disguise equipped, ascend the exterior stairs of the main building and enter through a side window. Inside, you’ll encounter a captain guarding the room containing Voss’ gold. You’ll need to defeat him to proceed.
- Retrieve the Gold: Once the area is secure, locate the safe and use the code 5484 to open it. Inside, you’ll find four gold bars, each worth 500 baht. Additionally, there’s a wad of cash worth 100 baht on a nearby table. Collecting these will provide you with more than enough funds to purchase the Rebreather.
Purchasing the Rebreather
With the acquired funds, return to Tongdang’s hut. You can now purchase the Rebreather, which will be placed on the table in front of Tongdang. Additionally, you’ll have sufficient money left to buy the Sukhothai Mysteries and Sukhothai Adventure pamphlets for 450 baht each, which become available once you own the Rebreather.
