Let us get started.
About Kingambit
Kingambit is a powerful Dark/Steel-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It has evolved from Bisharp after a unique condition: defeating three Bisharp that hold a Leader’s Crest. This “Big Blade Pokémon” resembles a samurai and commands an army of Pawniard and Bisharp, though it prefers brute strength over complex strategies. It is super cool to look at and can be an awesome addition to your Pokémon in the game.
Talking of its attacks and characteristics, it has impressive offensive skills, particularly a high Attack. It possesses two valuable abilities: Defiant, which sharply boosts its Attack if any of its stats are lowered by an opponent, and its signature ability, Supreme Overlord, which increases its Attack and Special Attack based on the number of fainted allies in its party. Kingambit also has a signature move called Kowtow Cleave, a reliable Dark-type physical attack.
This Pokémon will have so much to surprise you with that you’ll not stop wondering. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary that you at least try to acquire it once in the game.
How to get Kingambit in Pokémon Go?
If you want to get Kingambit in Pokémon Go, then this is what you need to do –
- The primary thing for you to have to begin this is to have a Bisharp. It is only after evolving Bisharp that you can get a Kingambit. Therefore, look for a Pawniard, which can be found in 1-star raids and in the wild. You can also find them by hatching 10 km eggs.
- Now use 50 Pawniard Candy and evolve your Pawniard into Bisharp.
- Once you have your hands on Bisharp, make it your Pokémon Buddy and move ahead.
- When it becomes your buddy, you need to set out on a mission to defeat 15 Dark-type or Steel-type Pokémon in Raid Battles. It doesn’t have to be in the raid, but you can be there as your buddy, and it will still count.
- After you have completed the raid, you need 100 Pawniard Candy to finally evolve your Bisharp into Kingambit. With this done, you will have your Kingambit in hand, and now you can keep it as a prized possession in your collection.
It is not a very old Pokémon and has been recently introduced as a part of the ‘Crown Clash’ event, which was active between 10th and 18th May 2025. And now that you know how to acquire and evolve it, the stage is all yours. Every time you make the evolution begin, make sure you have enough candy to begin with.
