Can the following list be hidden on TikTok?

Yes, you can absolutely hide your following list on TikTok, so other people can’t track every activity on your account. You can hide your following list from whoever you wish on your account. By default, it’s usually public, but TikTok gives you a privacy setting to toggle it to “Only Me.” When you switch this on, anyone visiting your profile will just see a message saying the list is hidden. We shall soon share the steps that can help you achieve it. It’s a good move without actually stripping those accounts from your account. If you are concerned about your privacy or just don’t want your feed to be public business, this is a good thing to do. Just remember, even with this hidden, people can still see if you follow them, even if it is just through their notifications.

Steps to hide your following list on TikTok

If you want to hide your following list on TikTok, then these are the steps that you can follow.

Go to your Profile

Your Profile is the control room to access all the settings. Open the TikTok app and tap on the Profile icon in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Open the Menu

Tap on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of your screen.

Open Settings

Now, after you have gone through the menu, you can select Settings and Privacy from the pop-up menu at the bottom.

Enter Privacy Settings

Under the “Account” section, tap on Privacy. Within there, just scroll down until you see the “Interactions” section and tap on the Following list.

Toggle to Private

After this, you’ll see two options. “Everyone” and “Only me.” Select only me for the chosen sort of privacy, and keep your following list private.

Once you’ve selected “Only me,” the list of people you follow is hidden from the public. If anyone taps on your “Following” count, they’ll only see a message saying the list is private. It is important to make sure you choose your peace over any stress about your privacy on the platform. So, if you feel it is needed to keep your feed a private affair, you can do so.
