How to Kill the Predator in Ghost Recon Wildlands
TwitterWhatsappLinkedin

The Predator is one of the toughest enemies in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. Unlike normal enemies, this alien hunter can disappear, attack from the jungle, fire deadly plasma shots, and force you to fight carefully instead of rushing forward. If you are trying to complete The Jungle Moved mission, patience and good positioning are more important than having the most powerful weapon, and avoid wasting your ammunition on blind shots.

Find The Predator Mission

The Predator encounter is part of The Jungle Moved mission in the Caimanes province. Follow the mission objectives until you reach the forested combat area. Before entering the yellow mission zone, prepare your equipment and make sure you have enough ammunition.

Prepare Your Weapons And Support

Weapon choice matters because the Predator can take a large amount of punishment. An accurate assault rifle or light machine gun is a strong choice because you need to land repeated hits when the Predator becomes visible.

Before starting the fight, consider preparing:

  • A reliable assault rifle or LMG
  • Extra ammunition
  • Medical supplies
  • Rebel support abilities
  • Thermal vision, if available
  • Grenades or mines for additional damage

Rebel Diversion and Rebel Support can be especially useful. They give the Predator other targets to focus on, creating opportunities for you to attack from cover.

Use Trees And Rocks As Cover

The safest way to fight the Predator is to stay close to solid cover. Large rocks and thick trees are useful because they can protect you from the Predator’s plasma weapons.

Do not stand in an open area and try to outshoot it. Instead, move around a tree or rock while keeping the obstacle between you and the Predator. When you hear its attack sounds or notice its laser targeting you, immediately move behind cover.

The Predator’s plasma attack can kill you extremely quickly, so surviving each attack is more important than squeezing in another shot.

Watch For The Red Laser

One of the most useful warning signs is the Predator’s red targeting laser. When the laser appears on you, do not panic or continue shooting. Get behind your cover and let the Predator fire.

Once the shot has been released, peek out and attack. This creates a simple rhythm: hide, wait for the attack, shoot, and return to cover.

This method may feel slow, but it reduces unnecessary deaths. The Predator becomes more aggressive as the fight progresses, so maintaining this rhythm is essential.

Shoot When The Predator Appears

The Predator uses its cloaking technology to disappear and move around the battlefield. You may hear its movements, growls, or other sounds before you can clearly see it.

Listen carefully. When it uncloaks and prepares to attack, concentrate your fire on it. Accurate shots are more valuable than spraying bullets randomly through the jungle.

Thermal vision can also make the Predator easier to track once you have access to the appropriate equipment. Keep watching the environment rather than staring only at your weapon sights.

Use Your Allies Wisely

If you are playing solo, your AI teammates can help draw attention away from you. Rebel support is even more useful because additional targets can make the Predator expose itself.

Call your support before or at the beginning of the main fight when possible. If the Predator focuses on another target, use those seconds to fire at it safely.

Co-op can also make the encounter easier because human players can spread out, revive one another, and attack from different angles.

Finish The Predator Carefully

Eventually, the Predator will become heavily damaged and change its behavior. It may stop cloaking as often and become more aggressive with its ranged attacks.

When it finally falls, do not immediately rush toward it. The mission requires you to confirm the kill, but approaching the Predator triggers its self-destruct sequence.

After confirming the kill, leave the marked area immediately. The Predator detonates shortly afterward, and being caught in the explosion can force you to repeat the entire battle.
