Looking for a way to link Pokémon Home to Pokémon Champions? Here is how you can create a link and connect in a different way! Avoid permanently moving your Pokémon to the game, and just linking would work. So, let’s get started.
What does it mean to link Pokémon Home to Pokémon Champions?
Linking Home to Champions works beyond transfers, where you move a Pokémon, and it lives in the new game completely. It is much like paying a visit rather than moving permanently. You are giving Champions permission to read your Home data so you can use your favorite caught teams in the battle. That is actually the best part! To elaborate, we can say that it works without you leaving your Home boxes. They don’t even get locked there, so you can’t trade them while they’re being used in Champions. It is a perfect way of experimenting and playing differently!
Steps to link Pokémon Home to Pokémon Champions
If you want to link Home with Champions, then these are the steps that you can follow.
Prepare your accounts
This is the first step you need to make! So, you have to make sure that both the Pokémon Home app on your Switch and your Pokémon Champions game are signed into the exact same Nintendo Account. If the profiles don’t match, the games won’t be able to proceed with the request. Also, you must have the 2026 update for Home installed; the Champions icon will not appear on the screen for you. Therefore, make sure that you have made the needed updates.
Mark your visitors
As the next step, you need to open up Pokémon Home on your Switch and look for the Champions tab on the side of the main menu. When you choose it, you can simply browse through your boxes and pick out which Pokémon you want to send over for a visit. To proceed, you can just highlight them and press the Y button to tag them. When you see an orange icon appear in front of you, you can understand that you are now ready to be pulled into the arena.
Finalize the link in Champions.
Now, finally, you need to close Home and boot up Pokémon Champions. Simply move over to the recruit menu, and you will see an option specifically for Home transfers. After you select that, the game will scan your Home data for any of those tagged visitor Pokémon. Once it finds them, they will be added to your roster the moment they are selected. However, you must know when and as long as they stay locked in your Home boxes, you can’t accidentally trade or delete them while they are competing.
