In love with some Pinterest GIFs? Here is how you can save them without a sweat. Follow the guide to know how you can pick some GIFs and extract them from there. So, let’s get started.
What can we save from Pinterest?
Pinterest is a good place to hunt for and save absolutely anything that catches your eye. You can save almost any image or video you find on the platform to your own personal boards that act as collections, which you can find in your account. These are called Pins. Beyond just pictures, you can also save specific products you want to buy later, recipes for brunch, and tutorials for literally anything. And if you install their browser extension, you can even save images directly from other websites back to your Pinterest account. This is pretty nice and straightforward. It’s a great way to just get some inspos and ideas that just aestheticize your digital board. You can also save stuff offline to have a look whenever you want to.
Steps to save GIFs from Pinterest
If you have seen a GIF that you like, then these are the steps that you can follow to save it.
Through the Mobile App
- If you use the app, it should be simpler. Just open the Pinterest app and tap on the GIF you want to keep.
- Once the Pin is open, look for the three dots in the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap on those dots to open up a menu of options. This is where all the options appear.
- Select the option that says Download image.
- Once you do so, the image must have been downloaded instantly. You can check your phone gallery or camera roll for that, and it should appear there as an animated file that is ready to share.
Through Web
- If you are taking the help of the web, though, you can just click on the Pin to expand it.
- Now, right-click directly on the moving image.
- Choose Save image from the dropdown menu. And make sure the file extension ends in .gif before you finally save it.
- Pick your folder, and all will be taken care of. Your GIF is now saved, and you can use it later.
What if the download options aren’t available?
Sometimes the download option might be missing if the creator has certain restrictions, or it might save as a static image. If that happens, you can usually click on the link to the original source website and download it directly from there. Otherwise, you can simply save it as a pin in your board.
