Do you want to see who has checked your Facebook Story under ‘others’? Here is how you can do it. We shall see the steps to do the same, along with any details that you need to remember. So, let us begin.
Can we see ‘Others’ in a Facebook story?
We understand that one wants to know who has seen their posts and stories. But now things aren’t so straightforward about it. When your story privacy is set to “Public,” anyone on or off Facebook can see it. Moreover, Facebook’s privacy policy prevents you from identifying these viewers to protect their information and more. The “Others” category means that people outside of your friends list have seen your story, but it won’t show you who they are. If you want to see everyone who views your story, we will discuss the ways to do so.
Ways to see ‘others’ in a Facebook story
Now that we know there is no direct way of seeing the others in a Facebook Story, we should discuss what we can do as a workaround to make it work.
- Open the app – The first thing is to start by launching the Facebook app on your phone. If you don’t have it already, download it from the App store.
- Make a new story for upload – Tap on the “Create Story” button at the top of your feed to start making a story to upload.
- Access privacy settings– Now before you select a photo or video to share, you must look for the “Privacy” button in the bottom-left corner of the screen. Tap on it to open the menu.
- Choose your preference– A new menu will open up on your screen with different options. Select “Friends” there, and you can also choose “Custom” to specially choose specific friends or “Hide Story From” to exclude certain people. You can do so for certain stories only, or you can make these default settings for all until you further change them.
- Save your changes- Once you are satisfied with the changes that you’ve made, select ‘Done’. Your changes will be saved, and your story will only appear to the people that you choose.
This is the only way that you can see the people who have viewed your Facebook story. As a matter of fact, there is no such provision till now to view the ‘others’ who have visited your Facebook story. But if you want to know who has viewed your profile, you can select the people who can view it. Now, whoever among those chosen contacts sees your Facebook story, you can see it.
If you too want to see who has seen your Facebook story, you can make these changes in the settings. Now you will be able to see the viewers of your story, anytime you want to.
