Want to taste the Mirror Mode in Mario Kart World? Follow the guide to know how you can unlock it and play it to the best. We shall see what the mirror world holds for the players and how they can make the best use of it while being within the game. So, let us begin.
What is the ‘Mirror Mode’ in Mario Kart World?
Mirror Mode in Mario Kart World is a newly upgraded and classic feature that flips every single racetrack horizontally! It is loved by fans for the uniqueness it brings out in the game and makes it twice as fun. It means that whatever memory you have of the tracks can be put aside because things just got exciting. You cannot predict the turns, at least for a while, and it is definitely new to all the gamers. It’s a fantastic way to challenge yourself and completely re-learn every course, making even the smartest and the oldest racers rethink their strategies that they have been using till now. It essentially inverts the map, so you will have to acquaint yourself with the tracks all over again, but that would be fun.
How difficult is mirror mode?
On a scale of 1 to 10, Mirror Mode in Mario Kart World can be considered a 7 or 8 for most players. To be fair, it’s not just a simple increase in speed, and you’re constantly having to re-evaluate your strategy and moves, which can lead to a lot of frustrating crashes and missed opportunities. It feels like playing the game for the first time again, but at a higher speed than usual. So, not the easiest, but it definitely will be fun.
Steps to unlock ‘Mirror Mode’ in Mario Kart World
If you want to unlock the mode, then these are the steps that you are required to follow –
Conquer the 150cc Grand Prix
You need to successfully complete every single Grand Prix Cup on the 150cc speed setting. But the best part is that you need not worry about getting gold in all of them, but you must finish each cup to earn at least a bronze trophy.
Complete the 150cc Knockout Tour
Just like the Grand Prix, you’ll also have to complete all the Knockout Tour Rallies on the 150cc setting. Finish the rounds and make it to the end of each rally to move on to the next steps.
Explore Free Roam
Move to the open world of Free Roam and finally search for the things that you need to collect now. You’ll need to find 10 Question Marks (?) Panels, 10 Peach Medallions, and complete 10 P-Switch Missions.
Re-run the Special Cup
Once all the above objectives are met, go back and complete the Special Cup on 150cc once again. After crossing the finish line and watching the credits, you will be informed that the Mirror Mode can now be accessed by you.
It is a fun mode introduced in the newly launched Mario game. So, if you are an old Mario fan, you are going to love it.
