Continued Double-Digit Enterprise iPaaS Growth Expected Over Next Five Years, According to Gartner Report

Bangalore, India – March 27, 2015 – Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq:INFA), the world’s number one independent provider of data integration software, today announced that Gartner, Inc., a leading IT research and advisory firm, has positioned Informatica as a leader in its 2015 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), Worldwide report, based on ability to execute and completeness of vision. In the report published on March 23, Informatica was positioned the highest on the Magic Quadrant for Ability to Execute.

The complete report, including the quadrant graphic, is available at https://www.informatica.com/ipaas-magic-quadrant.html.

According to the Gartner report, “Integration platform as a service (iPaaS) is a cloud service that provides a platform to support application, data and process integration projects, usually involving a combination of cloud-based applications, APIs and on-premise systems.”

Gartner analysts wrote in the report that, “Trends and drivers leading to enterprise iPaaS adoption will affect virtually every organization using cloud-based applications,” and that “Gartner expects that enterprise iPaaS will continue to grow at a double-digit rate over the next five years, on the assumption that virtually all user organizations must integrate applications, and at least some of these are, or will be, in the cloud. The report continued saying that, “the iPaaS market is poised to dramatically grow over the next five years because of several factors, including: the explosion of CSI, MAI, API and IoT requirements.”

“We believe our leadership position in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for iPaaS, particularly the recognition of our strong ability to execute, reflects the thousands of customers, large and small, that are using Informatica to successfully support an immense range of data, process and service integration projects,” said Ash Kulkarni, senior vice president and general manager, Informatica Cloud. “As a result, we are seeing over 130 billion transactions being processed with the Informatica Cloud ecosystem per month. Further, we are continuing to build iPaaS capabilities that leverage our extensive expertise in cloud, on-premise and hybrid integration. Informatica is a pioneer in big data integration and with our proven ability to put powerful, yet simple-to-use integration capabilities into the hands of non-technical business users and citizen integrators, the future is really bright.”
