With the rise of mobile computing, there is a growing demand for devices that can handle a wide range of activities on the go. Michelle Johnston Holthaus, Intel’s Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Client Computing Group, highlighted that today’s users are increasingly engaged in creating, connecting, playing, and learning wherever they are. The Core Ultra 200V series has been engineered to meet these demands, offering exceptional performance, extended battery life, comprehensive application compatibility, and enhanced security. The processors are also designed to leverage AI hardware, thanks to broad software support.

Efficiency and Performance Improvements

The Core Ultra 200V series is Intel’s most power-efficient line to date, with up to 50% lower package power compared to previous generations. This results in longer battery life, cooler operation, and quieter performance, which are crucial for extended mobile use and demanding workloads. Despite the focus on efficiency, these processors do not compromise on performance. The redesigned Performance-core (P-core) architecture is optimized for performance per watt, delivering up to three times the performance per thread and an 80% peak performance improvement. The new Efficient-cores (E-cores) are also capable of handling more workloads efficiently, ensuring smooth and responsive user experiences.

As part of its latest innovations, Intel unveils Core Ultra 200V processors featuring the new Xe2 graphics microarchitecture. One of the standout features of the Core Ultra 200V series is the debut of Intel’s new Xe2 graphics microarchitecture. This new technology offers a 30% average performance boost in graphics. The integrated Intel Arc GPU includes up to eight second-generation Xe-cores, eight enhanced ray tracing units, support for up to three 4K monitors, and new Intel Xe Matrix Extensions (Intel XMX) AI engines capable of up to 67 tera operations per second (TOPS). These features significantly enhance creative applications, accelerate AI workloads, and improve gaming performance with enhanced XeSS kernels.

Pioneering the AI PC Era

The Core Ultra 200V series is poised to be the cornerstone of the next generation of AI PCs. Equipped with a fourth-generation Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that is four times more powerful than its predecessor, these processors are designed to efficiently manage sustained AI workloads. Intel has collaborated with over 100 software vendors and developers, enabling more than 300 AI-accelerated features. With collaborations involving over 100 software vendors, Intel unveils Core Ultra 200V processors, enabling more than 300 AI-accelerated features. These include AI-driven capabilities for content creation, security, productivity, and gaming, such as automatic video scene detection, AI-powered art generation, deepfake detection, and AI-enhanced gaming experiences.

Most devices featuring the Core Ultra 200V series processors will be part of the Intel Evo Edition laptops. These devices are designed to offer cooler, quieter performance and enhanced responsiveness, ensuring an exceptional mobile experience. Pre-orders for consumer devices powered by the Core Ultra 200V series are now open, with global availability starting on September 24. Commercial devices built on the Intel vPro platform are expected to be available early next year.

In response to growing mobile computing demands, Intel unveils Core Ultra 200V processors with enhanced security and application compatibility. The Intel Core Ultra 200V series represents a major leap forward in x86 processor technology, combining unmatched efficiency, powerful performance, and advanced AI capabilities. With its introduction, Intel is setting a new standard for mobile computing, making it possible for users to enjoy enhanced experiences in content creation, security, productivity, and gaming.
