8 February, 2016, USA: The most fastest and active forms of media, Twitter was set on fire when its CEO Jack Dorsey took down on his twitter account. Dorsey reacted to #RIPTwitter controversy that heated up last night stating the social media platform would soon drastically change by putting tweets out of reverse chronological order.
CEO said, “Twitter is here to stay. Twitter is live. Twitter is real-time. We love the live stream. It’s us. And we’re going to continue to refine it to make Twitter feel more, not less, live! Regarding #RIPTwitter: I want you all to know we’re always listening. We never planned to reorder timelines next week”
However, company has tested non-chronological feature with some users and it was satisfied with the outcome. But the company has not yet decided on taking a final call on when and how to roll a new timeline algorithm out to users.
But as per the Dorsey, the service will largely remain the same. He teweeted, “Tweets you missed from people you follow. Pull to refresh to go back to real-time. I *love* real-time. We love the live stream. It’s us. And we’re going to continue to refine it to make Twitter feel more, not less, live!”
Twitter has been facing cold breeze from few months and this has exploded the rumours of the social media changing its newsfeed. Many of its stalwart executives have already walked out of the company and it posted weaker than expected earnings back in October.
Twitter can help make connections in real-time based on dynamic interests and topics, rather than a static social/friend graph. We get it.
