In an all-cash deal, mobile recharge platform, Komaprify, has acquired iReff, a mobile plans app. The amount paid for the acquisition has not been revealed by the company till now.
Komarify which was previously known as Planhound, helps users find and choose plans to recharge, pay bills, and buy new connections by using mobile wallets and other payment options.
The Chennai-based startup, which is owned by the Cheeni Labs Pvt Ltd, claims that it has DTH, mobile, and broadband plans from more than 100 operators across India. It also claims to have 8 million downloads and 4 million monthly users.
As of now, the startup is funded by external investors. Jigar Doshi, the co-founder of Komparify, said in a statement, “We have been working with iReff as partners for a couple of years and have always respected the clean app.”
On the other hand, iReff is Operated and owned by the iReff Technologies Pvt Ltd. The Bangalore-based startup basically offers online prepaid mobile recharge plans on its mobile application.
The founder and Chief executive of iReff said in a statement, “iReff was started with the vision to provide timely information and tools to help prepaid mobile users get the best of their prepaid subscription. iReff was the first app for the discovery of recharge plans, and we quickly became the leader in this space.”
