Bangalore based home design and decor e-commerce startup, Livspace, has acquired Dezignup, a design community and marketplace for design professionals for undisclosed amount. As a part of this acquisition, Saurabh Jain, Arpit Khandelwal and Swati Ailawadi of Dezignup will join Livspace.
Livspace provides designs of home decors and home interiors focuses on providing their users with high quality design content and believes this to be their competitive advantage. With this acquisition, the company will be able to focus further on their high quality content.
In December of 2014 , LivSpace had secured U$4.6 million from Helion Venture Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners and Jungle Ventures.
The company today delivers products in Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai & Bangalore. There are a number of players operating in the home decor space today n India such as UrbanLadder, Fabfurnish, HomeLane, PepperFry. However, these firms focus on providing single pieces of home interior objects. Livespace on the other hand focuses on providing complete and customizable designs of an entire room which users can purchase.
