ABOUT BRAD LYNCH

Brad Lynch is a VR enthusiast whose channel focuses on the next generation VR hardware. He provides insightful and detailed VR hardware analysis in the XR (Extended Reality) industry. According to The Verge, Meta’s Chief Technology Officer Andrew Bosworth posted about this in an internal memo last week.

After the company’s investigation of the leaking process, it unveiled that the leaker also took money in exchange for the detailed drawings and specs of the VR headset. The leaker also asked the YouTuber for the revenue shares from the YouTube ads to his following videos. Last year, Brad Lynch posted a video about the unannounced VR headset giving a little coverage from the traditional news outlets to Meta but also creating a problem for the company. Rarely does any company share publicly about the firing of leakers from their companies, but Meta did it.

This leak is not the first leak for the company. Quest 3 is not the first leak. There have been many product reveals that Meta could not protect and got its unannounced details about the company shared. These leaks were done in different ways. Some were found in a hotel room, and some others were posted on social media platforms.

On this, the say of the founder of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, is that the Meta and Apple are very deep, philosophical competition when it comes to selling VR headsets and building a metaverse.
