MobiKwik continues to drive offline tie-ups with key brands as a part of its core strategy

New Delhi, March 31, 2015: MobiKwik, India’s leading Mobile Wallet with over 15 million users, today announced that it has entered into a partnership with India’s leading multiplex chain, PVR, to enable its customers to make payments through the MobiKwik mobile wallet. Customers can now use the MobiKwik mobile wallet to make payments through the PVR website and app.

PVR is India’s largest cinema chain and has 469 screens across 44 cities. PVR’s move to tie-up with MobiKwik will give their customers the opportunity to conveniently book and pay for tickets online and also avail interesting offers and discounts when making payment via the MobiKwik wallet.PVR customers will also have a chance of earning PAYBACK points for each transaction that they make via MobiKwik. Customers can redeem these points on MobiKwik and use them to make e-commerce / utility bill payments, payments at coffee shops and recharge mobile phone and DTH, across 25000 merchants that are already a part of the growing MobiKwik partner ecosystem.

With customers increasingly shifting their ticket bookings online, PVR hopes to convert a large part of their users who book tickets at counters into digital customers in the next one-year. The company believes that the ease and convenience offered by a digital wallet like MobiKwik will catalyze this shift.

This partnership follows the recent tie-ups of MobiKwik with Café Coffee Day wherein the mobile wallet can be used by customers to make payments at over 1500 Café Coffee Day retail outlets across the country.

PVR is the largest and the most premium film and retail entertainment company in India.

Since its inception in 1997, the brand has redefined the way people watch movies in India. PVR currently operates a cinema circuit comprising of 468 screens in 105 properties in 44 cities pan India.
