Nua, the digital-first, omnichannel women’s wellness brand, has raised $50 million in a Series C funding round as it looks to accelerate growth, expand its product portfolio and strengthen its presence in India’s rapidly evolving women’s wellness market.

The funding round was led by Peak XV and Filter Capital, with participation from existing investors Mirabilis Investment Trust and Footpath Ventures. The transaction includes both primary funding for the company and secondary sales, allowing some early investors and angel backers to partially exit their holdings.

The fresh capital comes at a time when Nua is moving beyond its original period-care focus and positioning itself as a broader women’s wellness brand.

From Period Care to a Wider Wellness Platform

Founded in 2017 by Ravi Ramachandran, Nua initially built its business around period-care products. Over the years, however, the company has expanded into several adjacent categories, including maternity care, skincare and everyday intimate care.

Its product portfolio is built around what Nua describes as better-for-her products, with a focus on addressing everyday wellness needs that have historically received less attention.

The company has also developed a digital ecosystem around its consumer products. Its offerings include the Nua Period Tracker app and SecretKeeper, a chat-based platform designed to provide users with information and support around women’s wellness.

According to Nua, its products currently reach more than 3 million women and girls every month, highlighting the scale it has achieved since launching in 2017.

Revenue Growth Fuels Expansion Plans

Nua said its annualised revenue run rate has increased from Rs 100 crore to Rs 500 crore over the past 24 months. The company also said it remains profitable, although it did not disclose its absolute revenue or profit figures.

The latest funding will be used across several areas, including brand building, expanding distribution and reach, and strengthening research and development.

For Nua, the objective is not simply to sell more products but to build a larger consumer brand capable of serving women across different stages of their lives.

The strategy reflects a broader shift among consumer startups, where companies that begin with a single category increasingly expand into adjacent markets to increase customer lifetime value and create stronger brand loyalty.

Investors See a Large Opportunity

Investors believe India’s women’s wellness market has significant room for further growth as consumers become more comfortable discussing and spending on products related to reproductive health, skincare, maternity and intimate care.

Peak XV Managing Director Sakshi Chopra said Nua has demonstrated an ability to build a consumer brand that resonates strongly with its audience. According to Peak XV’s assessment, Nua has emerged as one of the fastest-growing brands in the category and the second-largest player online.

Filter Capital Co-founder and Managing Partner Sumit Sinha similarly highlighted Nua’s connection with consumers and its product proposition as key strengths.

For the company, the Series C round represents more than another funding milestone. It gives Nua additional capital to compete in an increasingly crowded consumer wellness market while expanding beyond its original period-care identity.

What Comes Next for Nua?

Nua’s next phase will revolve around category expansion, distribution and product innovation. Its ability to maintain profitability while scaling will be closely watched as it invests heavily in brand building and research.

The larger ambition is clear: transform Nua from a period-care company into a comprehensive women’s wellness platform.

With $50 million of fresh capital and a growing customer base, Nua is now looking to turn that ambition into its next major chapter.

Nua’s latest funding marks a significant step in its journey from a period-care startup to a broader women’s wellness brand. With strong revenue growth, profitability and fresh capital, the company is well positioned to expand categories, distribution and innovation across India.
