A man named Balwant Singh took to twitter to explain what had happened with the scooter. He says that he had purchased the Ola S1 Pro recently. Three weeks ago on March the 26th, his son was driving the scooter in the city, and as a speed breaker approached, he activated the break, but the scooter malfunctioned and went faster which caused the scooter to go airborne and slam back down into the ground.

Mr. Balwant Singh continued the thread and said that his son was rushed to hospital where it was discovered that the accident broke his left arm, and he also got multiple stiches on the other arm. He also had injuries and gashes on other parts of his body and bled a lot from them. The left arm had to be operated quickly so he can avoid a disability for the rest of his life.

Ola Electric has since responded and has disputed these events and announced that the scooter works perfectly fine. The Ola Electric Twitter admin replied to the thread by first saying that the company wishes he has a quick and speedy recovery. Then the tweet continued saying that Ola employees conducted a comprehensive examination on the scooter, and they concluded that there are zero problems with it. They then advised everyone to drive with caution and to follow all traffic rules.

On April, the 22nd, Ola Electric took to twitter again to say that according to the investigation and footage, the rider was driving well over speed limit in the dark of the night and saw the speed breaker too late due to which, he applied the breaks all of a sudden out of a panic causing him to lose control of vehicle which caused the crash. The vehicle was in perfect condition with no issues prior to that.

They even attached data that showed the driver of the vehicle was clearly over speeding well before the incident even took place.

They then said that road safety is of top priority for them. They requested everyone to drive under the speed limit, wear a good quality helmet, and driver in an accountable way.

The company has had its fair share of problems, which includes many of their vehicles catching fire, but which company hasn’t faced that problem?
