10 May 2016, MUMBAI: Mumbai based e-commerce company Pepperfry.com has appointed Neelesh Talathi as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company.

Prior Joining Pepperfry, Talathi has experience working with Vedanta Resources as CFO of the company’s iron ore division. He also worked with Unilever for 17 years and has rich experience as a role of financial analytics, director and CFO at Unilever Mashreq, Egypt. Talathi has also supported for causes such as Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation and Children. He supports two organization, namely Child Relief and You (CRY) and Sola School of Leadership, Afghanistan.

According to sources and reports bt ET, founder and CEO of Pepperfry, Ambareesh Murty commented about the joining of Talathi stating “It is great to have Talathi with us on our Pepperfry journey. I am sure that his rich and diverse finance and operating experience will assist us leverage scalable best practices as we continue to build a high growth, high margin and highly differentiated business.”

Founded in the year 2011, Pepperfry is an e-commerce company dealing with furniture products and is operated by Trendsutra Platform Services Pvt. Ltd. So far, the company has raised $128 million form three of its investors – Bertelsmann, Goldman Sachs, and Norwest Venture Partners – NVP.
