18 March, 2016, New Delhi: Sequoia backed PressPlayTV has gone for a total revamp. In this complete makeover; company has not left any stone untouched, right from content line-up to business model, everything has been tweaked as per the requirements of its users.

Speaking about the new look, Anand Sinha, Co-Founder and Chief Executive, PressPlayTV said, “The rich content across varied categories makes PressPlay TV an alluring proposition for the user.”

Last April, the company raised US $2.2 million from Sequoia Capital and other angel investors including Jason Hirschhorn (former co-president, MySpace), Jarett Posner (managing partner, Posner Group LLC), and Amit Bhatiani (partner, CX Partners).

With this new makeover, the entire structure of the app has changed. Now, its content carries short videos of two minutes duration. From Hindi movies to television shows, trending internet videos, news, sports, fashion, the revamped app will now have more than 50 channels.

As per the new plans deployed by the company, its rich content is now linked with broadcasting channels such as Lehren TV, Sun Network and Sony India. “The Android, iOS apps along with the desktop browser will give us unparalleled reach amongst the target audience. With desktop browser we will reach out to the PC and laptops users, further expanding our penetration,” elaborated Sinha.
