It said that it’s the debt investment which was made with the Binny Sachin recently invested.

This news revealed just a few days after the Flipkart co-founder had placed around Rs 650 crore on the ride-hailing platform Ola. Bansal has also scooped up an estimated valuation to be of around $1 Billion.

Sachin Bansal has also met some of the executives at the Reserve Bank of Indian to figure out the regulatory needs to be eligible to start a bank.

“Given the role that financial services play in the economy, it is one of the options we are looking at, it’s a business area we are exploring,” Bansal had said in an email reply to ET at the time. While Bansal has been an active investor in local startups since 2014, those investments were typically early-stage at $1-2 million. He has made about 18 investments since then, including Grey Orange, Inshorts, Unacademy and TeamIndus among others.
