SafeHouse Technologies has raised about $2.2 million in Seed Funding round. The funding round was led by Barclays UK Ventures. Barclays UK Ventures is the venture capital business unit of British multinational financial services group Barclays.
Purnendu Chatterjee, the founder and chairman of The Chatterjee Group also participated in the funding round.
The company will use the fresh capital for the promotion of it’s flagship mobile security app BodyGuard, bolster investment in R&D to enhance the customer experience even more and for the expansion of it’s operations in India, Aditya Narang, spokesperson, SafeHouse said in a statement.
Aditya Narang, added, “The objective of SafeHouse Technologies is to secure India and her citizens, one mobile phone at a time. In doing so BodyGuard will also optimize the Internet experience on mobile phones, providing more utility to our users. The cyber defense technology we have developed is being made accessible to all types of users: government institutions, banks, SMEs, and even individuals. The successful funding round validates our strong founding team, robust technology, business model & product from industry leaders.”
SafeHouse Technologies is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel. The company has expanded its presence into India and the UK.
The company aims to democratize the entire cyber security framework for the everyday consumer with it’s product.
