The idea of learning is rapidly evolving in India, where entertainment and education are no longer seen as separate worlds. Bengaluru-based edutainment platform Seekho is leading this shift, blending knowledge with engaging video formats that make learning fun, practical, and accessible. The company recently raised $28 million in Series B funding, led by Bessemer Venture Partners, to supercharge its journey into AI-powered, interactive learning experiences.

The Funding Boost and Vision Ahead

The latest funding round saw participation from Goodwater Capital and existing backers including Lightspeed Venture Partners and Elevation Capital. With this round, Seekho’s total funding has climbed to about $40 million, including the $8 million raised in late 2024.

Co-founder and CEO Rohit Choudhary emphasized that the mission is simple but ambitious: “Our goal is to make learning fun and easy for everyone, and ultimately turn Seekho into a global brand.”

The fresh capital will be directed toward building new interactive content formats and expanding AI-driven learning experiences, enabling Seekho to cater to an even wider audience.

What Seekho Offers: Bite-Sized Learning for Modern Users

Founded in 2020 by Rohit Choudhary, Keertay Agarwal, and Yash Banwani, Seekho has built a library of over 10,000 videos across categories such as business, finance, technology, digital services, self-help, and language learning.

The USP? Short, engaging videos—just 3 to 5 minutes long—that provide practical, career-focused knowledge. From learning how to grow a YouTube channel to mastering business operations or availing digital services, Seekho helps users pick up actionable skills quickly.

The platform is subscription-driven, with plans priced at Rs 149 per month on the web and Rs 199 on Android, giving users ad-free access to its entire library.

A Multi-Language Bet on Bharat

One of Seekho’s strongest growth levers has been its focus on regional languages. The platform already offers content in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, and is set to launch in Kannada and Bangla soon. Additional languages are also on the horizon.

By commissioning content from a few hundred creators through exclusive contracts, Seekho ensures a steady stream of localized, high-quality videos that resonate with diverse audiences across India.

Growth Story: Subscriptions and Scale

India’s subscription economy is booming, thanks to the rise of UPI autopay and increasing consumer willingness to pay for digital services. Seekho has benefitted directly from this trend.

The platform currently boasts 25 million monthly active users, marking a 60% quarter-on-quarter growth. Revenue growth has kept pace, also rising 60% every quarter for almost three years, according to the company. While exact figures remain undisclosed, this trajectory places Seekho among the fastest-growing consumer tech platforms in India.

AI: Seekho’s Secret Weapon

The newly raised funds will help Seekho double down on AI-powered personalization. Choudhary explained that the company is building interactive learning formats where users can not only watch videos but also engage with Seekho as a personal mentor.

For example, if someone is exploring entrepreneurship, they could ask Seekho specific questions about their business idea and receive tailored guidance. These AI-blended experiences are designed to create a deeper, more actionable learning journey.

Interestingly, while AI will enhance interactivity and creator productivity, Seekho has no plans to replace human insights with machine-generated content. As Choudhary puts it, “People come to Seekho for practical, in-depth insights provided directly by experts—and that human expertise cannot be replicated by AI.”

Investor Confidence in Edutainment

Bessemer Venture Partners, which led the round, believes Seekho’s strength lies in being a horizontal platform that caters to a broad and diverse user base.

Partner Anant Vidur Puri highlighted, “While many content platforms in India focus on pure entertainment, Seekho stands out by merging education with entertainment. It offers users not just fun, but also real opportunities for personal and professional growth.”

He added that the combination of 800 million smartphone users, long daily screen time, and frictionless online payments is creating fertile ground for digital-first platforms like Seekho to thrive.

Conclusion: From India to the World

Seekho has established itself as a leader in the edutainment space in just four years. The platform is poised to become a household name because to its quickly growing user base, robust subscription business, and incorporation of AI to produce more individualized learning experiences.

Seekho is not just creating a platform, but also influencing the direction of education in India and abroad by maintaining content that is useful, succinct, and interesting while maintaining human knowledge at its center.
