The OnePlus 15 is finally available for pre-order in the United States, starting December 4, 2025, after a delay caused by regulatory holdups.

Originally launched globally on November 13, 2025, the phone’s U.S. launch was postponed because the company had not yet obtained clearance from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), a mandatory regulatory step for wireless devices in the U.S.

With the FCC certificate (model number “CPH2749”) now granted, OnePlus confirmed that preorders are live on its official U.S. store.

Pricing & What You Get: Base Model, Premium Model, and Perks

The OnePlus 15 starts at US $899.99 for the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant.
The higher-end variant 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage costs US $999.99.

To sweeten the preorder deal, OnePlus is offering a choice of free accessories for early buyers (first-come, first-served). Options reportedly included items like a 43 mm OnePlus Watch 3, Buds Pro 3 earbuds, a 50 W AirVOOC charger, or a magnetic case.

Additionally, there’s a trade-in offer: customers can trade in any smartphone regardless of condition for a $100 instant credit, plus an extra $100 cashback bonus with eligible purchases.

What’s Inside the OnePlus 15: Why It’s Worth Waiting For

Even before its U.S. arrival, the OnePlus 15 was already drawing attention globally for several standout features:

  • A powerful chipset: it’s among the first phones to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip making it one of 2025’s most powerful Android flagships.
  • Massive battery: the phone packs a 7,300 mAh battery unusually large for a flagship promising “two-day battery life” even with heavy usage.
  • A high-refresh, vibrant display: previous reports highlighted a large 6.78-inch display (global spec) with features like a high refresh rate display (165 Hz) and AMOLED panel appealing for gamers and power users alike.

These specs performance, display, battery make the OnePlus 15 a strong competitor in the premium smartphone space.

Why the Delay? FCC Certification and U.S. Regulatory Timing

The delay in U.S. availability stemmed from the phone pending regulatory clearance. Because the U.S. experienced a government shutdown between October and November 2025, regulatory agencies like the FCC were unable to process certifications delaying many devices, including OnePlus 15.

Even though the phone was globally launched and ready for sale elsewhere OnePlus couldn’t legally begin U.S. sales until that clearance was secured.

With the FCC certificate now issued (model number “CPH2749”), OnePlus has pushed forward with preorders ending several weeks of uncertainty for U.S. buyers.

What Pre-Order Buyers Should Know: Offers, Availability & Timing

As of December 4, interested buyers in the U.S. can pre-order the OnePlus 15 on the brand’s official site.

However, while preorder is live, official shipping dates have not been firmly confirmed by OnePlus.

According to some sources, the expectation is that shipping will begin “in the coming days or weeks,” possibly aligning with typical launch-cycle timing.

Because orders are coming with freebies, early demand might be high and some accessories (like the Watch 3) reportedly sold out quickly.

Also noted: the preorder window seems limited initial reports suggest preorder offers may end December 11, after which the device may transition to “open sale” status.

What This Launch Means: For OnePlus and Smartphone Shoppers

  • For OnePlus: the U.S. preorder/unlock is a relief after a delay caused by external regulatory factors. Finally getting the phone into U.S. hands clears the path for wider retail availability (including Amazon / Best Buy).
  • For buyers: this is one of few times you see a top-tier flagship offered with significant extras (watch/earbuds/charger) plus trade-in and cashback incentives which improves value considerably.
  • For the smartphone market: OnePlus 15’s specs (large battery, powerful chip, high-refresh display) challenge incumbents offering a strong alternative to premium phones from other brands.

What to Watch: What’s Next for OnePlus 15 & Its Market Entry

  • Shipping & availability: Keep an eye on order confirmations, the lack of a firm ship date means early pre-order customers may wait a while. If free gifts are limited, stock may run out soon.
  • Retail expansion: Beyond the OnePlus store, units are expected to become available on Amazon and Best Buy once pre-order shipments begin.
  • Competition & follow-ups: OnePlus has signalled that a more affordable model OnePlus 15R is due mid-December. That could shift consumer interest, especially for those seeking flagship features at a lower price.

After regulatory delays, the OnePlus 15’s U.S. preorder launch brings hope for fans and those seeking flagship-class hardware at competitive value. With a powerful processor, enormous battery life, and aggressive preorder bundles, it presents a compelling package for 2025.
