Squid Game – Season 3

One of the most anticipated releases this month is the third season of Squid Game on Netflix. The South Korean series that took the world by storm will be concluding its intense storyline with this season. Set to premiere on June 27, 2025, the new season sees the return of Gi-hun, who is determined to bring an end to the brutal and manipulative games.

With the Front Man taking the games to a new level, the stakes have never been higher. Directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, this final installment combines suspense, character-driven emotion, and the social commentary that defined the first two seasons. The ending is expected to be powerful and emotionally loaded, offering closure to fans who have followed the story closely.

Ginny & Georgia – Season 3

Also returning in June is Ginny & Georgia with its third season, streaming on Netflix from June 5, 2025. The series picks up from the cliffhanger where Georgia is arrested for murder. As secrets begin to unravel, the mother-daughter relationship is pushed to its limits. Brianne Howey and Antonia Gentry continue to portray their characters with emotional depth, exploring the complexities of loyalty, identity, and trust. This blend of drama and comedy has found a strong fan base, and with a fourth season already confirmed, the third season sets the tone for more developments in the future.

FUBAR – Season 2

Arnold Schwarzenegger returns in the second season of FUBAR, premiering on Netflix on June 12, 2025. This season continues the adventures of the CIA agent and his daughter as they navigate personal issues and international threats. With the addition of Carrie-Anne Moss as a former intelligence operative, the show brings more tension and action to its storyline. FUBAR mixes humor with spy thriller elements, offering an engaging experience for those who enjoy fast-paced action and family drama.

The Ultimatum: Queer Love – Season 2

Reality television also makes a strong showing in June. The second season of The Ultimatum: Queer Love arrives on Netflix on June 25, 2025. The show introduces six queer couples who are tested through a partner-swap experiment, all competing for a grand prize of €100,000. The series is known for its honest portrayal of relationships, emotional confrontations, and the search for commitment. Its second season continues to provide a space for LGBTQ+ representation in mainstream streaming, something still growing in visibility in Indian OTT circles.

Tires – Season 2

Comedian Shane Gillis returns with the second season of Tires, streaming on June 5, 2025. This comedy is set in a chaotic tire shop and revolves around the daily mishaps of its oddball employees. Known for its irreverent humor and simple storytelling, Tires appeals to viewers who prefer short, punchy comedy with relatable workplace situations.

Too Hot to Handle: Spain

Netflix continues to build its reality TV catalog with the release of Too Hot to Handle: Spain on June 13, 2025. The Spanish edition of the hit reality show places attractive singles in a luxurious retreat where intimacy is off-limits if they want to win a cash prize. As with previous versions, the show balances emotional exploration with high-stakes rule-breaking. With its blend of drama, attraction, and humor, it aims to attract the same audience that made earlier seasons successful in India.

Olympo

Another title making its debut on June 1 is Olympo, a Spanish-language teen drama set in an elite athletic center in the Pyrenees. The show dives into themes of ambition, rivalry, and the pressure of excellence among young athletes. It is expected to attract fans of teen-centric series who enjoy character-driven storytelling with a competitive twist.

Vaanil Thedinen

For viewers of Tamil-language content, Aha brings Vaanil Thedinen, a new series premiering sometime in June. While the storyline has not been fully revealed, the platform is known for prioritizing authentic regional stories with emotional impact. This show is expected to appeal to those who enjoy culturally grounded narratives with a dramatic arc.

Straw

On the film front, several movies are making their digital debut. Tyler Perry’s Straw, releasing June 6 on Netflix, stars Taraji P. Henson and Teyana Taylor in a story about a single mother navigating personal challenges. With Tyler Perry’s known style of storytelling that mixes emotion, social themes, and moments of humor, the film is likely to find an audience that appreciates grounded, emotional drama.

KPop Demon

Animated film KPop Demon Hunters arrives on Netflix on June 1, 2025. The movie follows K-pop idols who secretly hunt demons while managing their public personas. It features energetic visuals and a soundtrack that complements the action. This film blends fantasy with pop culture, targeting younger audiences who enjoy music-themed animation.

The Equalizer

The 2014 action film The Equalizer, starring Denzel Washington, will also be available on Netflix from June 1. In this intense thriller, Washington plays Robert McCall, a man who uses his combat skills to help those in trouble. The film’s mixture of action and moral questions makes it suitable for fans of darker action stories.

Vertigo

Classic cinema lovers can revisit Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo, which begins streaming on Netflix on June 1. This 1958 psychological thriller follows a detective haunted by his past and obsession, set against the backdrop of San Francisco. Known for its cinematography and psychological depth, Vertigo remains a staple for fans of vintage film.

The Intern

Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway star in The Intern, available from June 22, 2025, on Netflix. This light-hearted movie focuses on the relationship between a senior intern and his younger boss, tackling themes of age, career, and adaptation. With its warm tone and relatable plot, it remains a good option for relaxed viewing.

Two major music documentaries are also part of June’s releases. Becoming Led Zeppelin, premiering on June 7, explores the legendary band’s rise through rare interviews and unseen footage. Streaming on Netflix, it offers an in-depth look at the band’s journey and musical contributions. Also arriving on June 7 is Piece By Piece, a LEGO-animated documentary on Pharrell Williams. It showcases his creative life, including music, fashion, and art, presented through a unique visual style.

Regional cinema sees new entries with Retro and Thudarum. Retro, a Tamil romantic comedy starring Suriya, will be available on Netflix in June. Although it had a mixed response in theatres, the film may reach a broader audience online. It blends emotional storytelling with humor and is expected to gain popularity on digital release. Thudarum, a Malayalam film starring Mohanlal, streams on JioHotstar in June. It delivers a gripping narrative with a strong central performance and will appeal to fans of serious drama.

Another regional entry is Tourist Family, a Tamil comedy-drama available from June 2 on JioHotstar. The film looks at family relationships through humorous events and everyday misunderstandings. It is a feel-good watch that connects with audiences who enjoy relatable characters and simple storytelling.
