Donald Trump recently spoke at a rally in Mosinee, Wisconsin, and the audience was definitely entertained when the President referred to Elon Musk as “Leon”. The 78-year-old former president was actually discussing Elon Musk’s company SpaceX and their part in saving astronauts marooned on the International Space Station (ISS), but apparently, Musk was suddenly “Leon” in this verbal slip.
What Really Happened?
Picture this: Trump was speaking to his voters, enthusiastically, when all of a sudden he made this little slip. They were talking about the challenges that Boeing faced in the space business, especially when one of their ships broke down which led to two astronauts being left in space. Not missing his trademarked dramatic flair, Trump referred to how SpaceX was coming to the rescue. “I’m going to get Leon to send them a rocket,” said former President Trump.
Actually, I think each of us has been in such a position at any time in our lives, haven’t we not?
Just to make the story a little more interesting, Trump wanted to introduce some jokes to the situation. While standing in front of a Boeing plane, he said, “Boeing, I shouldn’t say anything, there’s a beautiful Boeing plane right there. ”

Trump commended Musk, or rather “Leon,” for a man who is always day-dreaming on rockets and space. “That’s all he thinks about,” Trump jokes. It is actually a little humorous if you consider it; Well, rockets do dominate Musk’s thoughts but it is highly unlikely that he wants to be called by the name Rocket while at it.
The Rally full of surprises
This was not the only noteworthy event during Trump’s speech. The rally happened at Central Wisconsin Airport and Trump addressed the crowd while standing behind a wall made of glass that was bullet-proof. The Harsher security measures came after a recent attempt on the president’s life in July, which would naturally result in additional measures being taken.
Trump was not going to let the moment pass without his input and as usual, he had a lot more to say. He gave an update on all the remaining civil legal cases and the most recent appearance in court over the new sexual abuse claims. As with most things in Trump’s life, he was not one to sweep his problems under the rug and pretend they didn’t exist. He shared a video in which he accused the “Harris-Biden DOJ” of attempting to imprison him for seeking to report on the matter.
Humor Among the Headlines
However, it is such ironic moments like the dropping of the ‘Leon’ that assure the audience that even politicians have a human side in them. Sometimes we too say something the wrong way.
This little slip is, however, typical of Trump’s rallies and other similar gatherings and will most certainly not be the last to be remembered uniquely. Oh it may not have been the biggest attraction for the event but it sure did make people smile especially with all the talking going on about politics.
