Twitter is in for yet another burst of memes as the crypto world suffers the tremors of yet another crash which has resulted in a substantial decline of value. Things have been going downhill for crypto since July and this one is the largest decline it has seen since July, below $36,000. The picture is definitely not looking great and the exorbitant popularity is slowly turning into a worrisome vulnerability that is putting all those who invested in crypto in a fix. Because over the past few months, uncertainty and volatility, two inevitable characteristics of crypto have become more defined than ever. Perhaps, this is the right time to think about backup plans, or perhaps there is still scope for some optimism and we can collectively wait for the “light at the end of the tunnel.” However, you cannot blame the crypto enthusiasts if they start to wonder about the length of the tunnel.

It is a known fact that crypto has enjoyed exorbitant popularity over the past few years with more and more people investing in it. However, it seems like the picture has changed a bit. The recent graph of crypto shows a constant decline over the past few months. The Federal Reserve contemplating withdrawing the stimulus from the market has exacerbated the risk factor, adding to the already present uncertainty. On Friday, Bitcoin experienced a loss of over 12 percent, dropping below $36,000. The plight hasn’t been any better for other cryptocurrencies that are passing through the same distraught phase. Bitcoin saw a light ray of hope in November which faded away soon, resulting in the loss of market value worth $600 billion. And the crypto market, in general, has recorded a loss worth $1 trillion. The tremors are being felt and some of them even suspect that the same fate that had befallen equities is in wait for crypto as well. Whether the future has in store some astounding plot twist remains to be seen.
