PlayStation Plus Glitch Lets You Download a Major RPG for Free
A glitch in the PlayStation Plus service has been discovered that allows users to download the major RPG Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for free. The glitch seems to be related to the way the game is offered as part of the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers. The game Players may have an additional incentive to sign up for the monthly service now that the game is available on PC after previously being released on consoles for some time.
Some users have reported that they were able to add the game to their libraries even though they did not have an active subscription to PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium. Others have said that they were able to download the game after canceling their subscription.
It is unclear how widespread the glitch is, but it appears to be working for several users. Sony has not yet released a statement on the matter. It’s older than Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, as one Twitter user notes, including the RPG, would make financial sense. Regretfully, Sony quickly detected this issue and took down the game’s download link.
This could also mean that a PlayStation Plus Trial, which allows users to play a game for a few hours as an extended trial, will soon be available for the game. Hopefully, you had fun playing it and were able to complete the adventure quickly if you were able to download it inside that little window.
About the Game
Square Enix is the developer and publisher of the 2023 action role-playing game Final Fantasy XVI. The sixteenth main Final Fantasy game was released in June 2023 for the PlayStation 5, and in September 2024 it will be available for Windows. Segmented open locations and an action-based fighting system with melee and magic-based assaults are characteristics of the game. Recurring series characteristics include the ability to move around with Chocobos and the summoning of creatures known as Eikons, which are employed in battle and battle bosses.
The setting of Final Fantasy XVI is the twin continent of Valisthea, which is currently split into six powerful nations due to their possession of mystical Crystals and Dominants, human beings who serve as hosts for the Eikon of each nation. As the earth is being consumed by a magical drought known as the Blight, tensions between the countries rise. As the younger brother Joshua’s guardian, Clive Rosfield watches his kingdom decimated and is entangled in the escalating battle between the kingdoms of Valisthea and a hidden force fueling the fight.
Critics commended the game for its gameplay, graphics, plot, and soundtrack. Its absence of role-playing components, technological problems, and side quest design were the main points of criticism. Despite selling more than three million copies in its first week of release, the game fell short of Square Enix’s initial projections.
