Washington, April 16 : Yahoo is reportedly in talks with Foursquare, the New York-based startup behind the eponymous local search app and location-based social “check-in” app Swarm, to seal a deal with a price tag of around 900 million dollars.
Sources said that the “deal is done” but details are being worked out, reported TechCrunch.
However, there are also sources who have claimed that they have heard nothing about the deal. Therefore, the news could either be an elaborate, bicoastal speculation or it might be happening with only a select circle privy to what is going on.
Both Yahoo and Foursquare have declined to comment on rumour or speculation.
