FreeCharge Collaborates with bus-aggregating platform ‘Shuttl’ To Provide Cashless Commuting Facility

14 Jul. 16, NEW DELHI: Digital payments platform FreeCharge has partnered with bus aggregator Shuttl  in order to assist 15,000+ commuters in Delhi- NCR to go cashless for their daily commute. Consumers can now make payment pay for their ride on Shuttl app through FreeCharge wallet within 10 seconds.

This collaboration will allow FreeCharge to make in-roads in Delhi, and NCR regions (Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad) and leverage the daily habits of commuters to migrate from cash payment to digital payments.

With more than 20k rides every day and about 400 buses at 100+ routes, Shuttl will be able to provide its commuters a user-friendly and secure way to pay via FreeCharge. Through this partnership, Shuttl will also get quick access to several of wallet users and influence the payment gateway from FreeCharge.

Commenting about the development, Chief Business Officer – Mr. Sudeep Tandon, FreeCharge said, “Our partnership with Shuttl is another step in the direction to make daily payments more convenient for consumers. To drive adoption of digital payments we need to ensure payments are not just safer but swifter than cash too. Commuters now don’t need to tender exact cash for their rides and can seamlessly complete their payment process in less than 10 seconds with our wallet.”

Together we will be able to drive the adoption of shared commute on a tech platform that will give consumers a safe, reliable and comfortable ride. Shuttl is a Gurgaon based bus-aggregating platform which aims to make daily commute easier for urban intercity travellers. The company caters to the needs of commuters in the Delhi-NCR region with about 20000 rides daily. Shuttl is backed by investor like Sequoia Capital, Times Internet and Lightspeed Ventures.
