Rannvijay Singh Invests In Liftiee App

17 March 2016, Hyderabad : Former Roadies presenter Rannvijay Singh led a seed round of $108K (INR 72 lakh) in car and bike pooling app Liftiee. TV actor Anita Hassanandani also invested in the round.

Co-founded by Ritvik Mathur and Rashid Khan, the app on-boards only private vehicles for the car and bike pooling options based on government id proof and license. Headquartered in Mumbai, the app will on-board drivers and customers across cities. The newly raised capital will be utilised to on-board drivers and customers across cities.

The description on Liftiee app says that the startup offers price as low as INR 10 for the first 3 km, which could be paid through the wallet.

“The law does not bar cars and bikes from charging a nominal amount for ride-pooling towards maintenance and fuel charges. Liftiee works on the same principal and will be available to users at the cost of Rs 10 for up to 3 km distance which will be paid through the wallet,” said Rashid Khan, co-founder of Liftiee.
